Once again, the Western Idaho Fair has come and gone. The rides, the food, the entertainment, and all the animals. Hopefully you made it this year with family and friends to make some more 2023 memories, or at least had some corn on the cob! When I think of the fair, it’s the memories that come to my mind first. Here are two of my fondest memories. The first is the night I arrived at the fair with my girlfriend, but left that with my fiance! I dropped to my knee at the fountain and proposed, and Shauna said YES!
Exactly four years later, Shauna and I found ourselves again at the fair and due to be first time parents in about two weeks. We enjoyed a lot of fair food and to this day Shauna thinks it was the churros she ate that started her contractions. Seven hours after returning home from the fair, we were at St. Luke’s holding our newborn baby Krista. You can imagine these stories get told every time we go to the fair.
