Life With Hope – KTSY Spring 2023 Fundraising Drive
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy…
Living in the Treasure Valley is a dream come true after many years. Our family has been here over 6 years now and we plan to never leave.
My career in radio began 33 years ago at the Positive Life Radio Network out of Walla Walla, WA, followed by 6 years in Visalia, CA doing mornings for Christian station 89.7 KARM. After that, I came back to Positive Life Radio where I hosted mornings among other things for the next 13 years. In 2013, I took a job in Kansas City doing afternoons at Life 88.5. When that adventure ended in 2016, I landed at KTSY and couldn’t be happier.
My family includes my wife, Lennaé, as well as four kids (Gavin-21, Dia-18, Rayna-16, and Linly-15). We have three cats (Orion, Naboo, and Luna).
Our parent company, Barefoot Media Ministries, has a very locked-in mission of sharing true hope with everyone who listens. We’re determined to live out our mission statement which is, Experience God. Impact Lives. There is no greater passion for me. And I get to live that out while doing my favorite thing in life.
Favorite KTSY Artist: for KING & COUNTRY, MercyMe, Crowder, TobyMac, Tauren Wells, Austin French, and Matthew West. They all put on a magnificent show that is both deeply spiritual and blows my mind. They play their shows with 150% passion. It’s wild.
Best Advice I’ve Been Given: – “Keep your hands to yourself boy.” – My dad’s “girls talk”
– “You don’t fall up.” – Tommy Kramer, my long-time talent coach and dear friend
– “The question always is, ‘What are we trying to accomplish here?” – John Frost, KTSY Consultant and Semi Professional Baseball Announcer
– “Live your life by Be. Do. Have.” – Dennis Mansfield, Author, Coach, Speaker, Dear Friend, and Idaho State Senator
– “Make you bed every morning.” My Mom
Fun Fact About Myself: I love to play tennis, but am not nearly as good as my colleagues, Kevin “The Beast” McNeese and Chaplain Milton “The Pope of the Court” Marquez. I love sports, music (I sing and play piano), and creating unnecessarily complicated spreadsheets.
Last Show I Binged: I’m on the last season of See. Jason Mamoa is excellent in this post-apocalyptic series about a population that is completely blind from a virus and see the very few people who CAN see as evil. I have very odd tastes in movies. =)
