When you have kids in your life that are different ages and have different interests and attention spans, it’s a small miracle to find something that everyone enjoys. I was surprised that all of my kids (16, 12, & 8) wanted to go to the Aquarium and was more than happy to take them!
My 16-year-old read all of the signs and spent time observing what she had just learned in Biology, taking her time with each exhibit.
The photo roll on my phone got filled up by my 12-year-old with pictures of every single exhibit so she could relive the moments forever.
My 8-year-old loved the fact that there was plenty to interact with. I mean, where do you go to actually feed and touch rays and fish and sea stars and sea anemones?! It was cool to see them learning about and interacting with these amazing creatures, right here in Idaho!
There are also birds and reptiles if that’s more your thing.
Everything in the aquarium is indoors so it provides a really fun hour or two of education and fun regardless of what the weather is doing outside. We didn’t realize until we were about done that there is a scavenger hunt that you can use to help you as you explore. Next time!
