I love going to events around town year after year, especially when they are as memorable as the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic. It’s much the same each year, but the magic of a balloon lifting into the sky never gets old. And neither do the photos that pop up in my memories!
I have never been to the Nite Glow on Friday evening, but my dear friend assures me it was the perfect place for her and her now-husband to have their second date!
If you have been around the area for a while or just enjoy a bit of Boise history, the Balloon Classic started as a part of the Boise River Festival in 1999 and became it’s own event in 2010–The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic.
There are balloon pilots from all over the country who come to Boise each year, allowing us to marvel at their beautiful balloons and even let the kids take a ride, which was a highlight of 1st grade for my daughter who is now 15!
So whether you go to Ann Morrison Park and watch it up close, or appreciate them from the porch of your home, look to the sky this weekend!
