No one wants to go through the hard stuff in life–the marriage that is falling apart, the child who is addicted to drugs, the frightening diagnosis from the doctor. But, when those times come, it’s then that we cry out “God, I need you to do a miracle.” And not only do we want God to do a miracle, we want Him to do it fast! But what happens when He doesn’t? What happens when we have to wait?
Recently I heard a pastor say that we all want God to do a miracle in our lives but, we don’t want to go through the things that the miracle is attached too. When those times hit, remember, you could be in the middle of a miracle. Without the marriage that is falling apart, there is no miracle. Without that frightening diagnosis there is no miracle, without the addiction. There is no miracle.
So, the next time you’re in a storm and you’re wondering, “how did I get here, why is this happening, Lord, what’s going on?” Be patient, you may be in the middle of a miracle.
