“All Because of Mercy” is a worshipful reminder of the gospel. If you have placed your faith in Jesus, your sins have been forgiven. You have a personal relationship with Him. You have the hope of spending eternal life with Him. Your life has been transformed and is continuing to be transformed as the Holy Spirit helps you become more like Jesus. All of those are incredible reasons to praise God! In a world that is often proclaiming the message that “I am enough,” as Christians we always need to remember for ourselves and communicate to others that we don’t have any of those amazing spiritual blessings because of our own goodness or our own works.
As humans, before we come to know Jesus, our natural bent is toward disobedience to God anyway, but even still there are good things we do in life. But the message of Jesus teaches us that even our good works are not good enough to fix our broken relationship with God and forgive our sins. Salvation is not a reward for good things we have done, it’s a free gift God gifts us because of His mercy and grace.
