Each day, children in our communities are entering the foster care system due to circumstances within their own homes. These children are often removed from their homes in the middle of the night and come into care with limited to no clothing, toiletries, or other essentials.

These children are then placed into foster homes. If a foster home is not able to be found for them, children often have to stay in Airbnb’s, hotel rooms, or even the Department of Health and Welfare offices until a place is found for them. Foster + Heart was founded in response to this need and has opened a loving home where children can go until a foster family is found for them.

You can give hope and help these children feel loved.

On Thursday, April 27, KTSY, Project 88.7, and KBOI News Channel 2 are uniting together to bring hope to these children in crisis. You can bring hope with a donation of new clothing, toiletries, and essential supplies that will be given directly to children in crisis through Foster + Heart. Your donation will let these children know they are not forgotten.

There will be barrels at all Treasure Valley Walmarts that will be accepting donations on Thursday, April 27 so you can easily donate. You can also donate online here.

Make plans to come by any Treasure Valley Walmart on Thursday, April 27th, and bring hope to a child who is hurting.
