We live in a crazy time with so many things pulling us in all directions. I’ll bet you can tick off a half-dozen people before the “kicking in” of your morning coffee.
The other day, KTSY’s Chaplain Milton gave a staff worship where he challenged us to identify our “spiritual win” for 2023.” Sometimes that kind of thing can take “work” to manufacture. But maybe that’s not how we’re supposed to go about it.
Miraculously, the moment the words came out of Milton’s mouth, I knew what my 2023 win was going to be. First off, the scripture that inspired me.
Ephesians 4:16-20 (Passion Translation) talks about the way God’s love will grow from a place deep inside of us until is explodes forth in power, fueling our life of faith.
A phrase in verse 16 says: “…that God would unveil with in you the unlimited riches of God’s glory and favor…”
Did you catch what I realized my 10th read through? God will unveil His glory within you. In other words, WE DON’T HAVE TO SEEK HIS PRESENCE BECAUSE HE LIVES IN US ALREADY!!
Realizing this truth, my spiritual win for 2023 leapt out at me.
Here is it: Absorb Ephesians 4:16-20–allowing the Holy Spirit to work God’s love deeply into my soul as the fuel to my faith.
Let me challenge you to think about what your spiritual win could be for this year. Maybe you decide that God is One with Whom you will journey through life.
Come to think of it, that’s the decision before all of us everyday.
