Chris was born to be in radio. At the ripe age of 12, Chris started his first radio job playing big band of the 40’s. He grew to have an appreciation of all sorts of kinds of music. At 15, he was introduced to Christian Music and knew he had found what he really wanted to play on the radio! That was the early 80’s when Amy Grant was trailblazing Christian Radio.
Through the years he has played just about every song imaginable, but his first love was Contemporary Christian Music. Playing songs of hope that meant something was always calling him back and he eventually returned to his first love. Most recently, Chris spent 12 ½ years playing CCM music in Portland at 104.1 The Fish, and before that played CCM in his hometown of Tulsa Oklahoma.
In 2012 he came to the Pacific Northwest with his family and this is now home. He has fond memories of coming to Idaho as a kid visiting relatives in Filer and Twin Falls and now things have come full circle at KTSY.
Over the years he has collected antique radios that started with the one that came from his Grandfather.
Chris and his wife Heidi have a full family of 5 young men and 2 young ladies (ranging from 16 to 30) and 2 grandkids..
Chris is excited to be a part of the hope giving efforts here at KTSY and be able to stay here in the Pacific Northwest.
