If we all took an opportunity around us to bring hope to someone else, we could change the world. That’s the heartbeat of Hope for Christmas: Home Improvement. And it starts now – with nominations!
Our team of contractors can’t do any of it without you! You let us know who is in need so the KTSY Family can join together and give them an amazing Christmas! In 10 days this December we will see their home renovated!
This all started years ago with Rick & Sue Ellen with Diamond Heating & Cooling (before they added Plumbing and Electric!). They were giving a free furnace from the manufacturer for selling so many systems. They decided instead of selling that furnace and making more money, that they wanted to make sure a family were warm for Christmas. After a few years of giving away a furnace in partnership with KTSY, Casey Dillabaugh asked to join. He’d heard a station doing a “breaking and entering” where they would surprise a family with a free remodel. From there, the Home Improvement project started!
The Christmas story is all about Jesus COMING to us, to meet us in our messy situation. While we were struggling, He came TO US! So, on Christmas, with His example, we GO and meet the needs of people around us! It’s the perfect Christmas story!
Each of these contractors hopes that this home improvement project inspires YOU to do whatever is in front of you. Bringing the trash in for a neighbor, inviting a lonely friend over for dinner, taking cookies to the neighbors… Most of us can’t remodel a house – but we can do SOMETHING!
And that something might start with nominating a friend for Hope For Christmas: Home Improvement. This whole thing is powered by YOU – connecting us to the people in need in our community.
