It’s finally here…SUMMER!! Tis’ the season for family vacations, road trips, camping, water parks, and barbecues. Some of the best childhood memories are made during summer. As parents, we want our kids to have some of the same amazing summer experiences that we had, or maybe didn’t have.
But what if you’re feeling the squeeze this year? The squeeze on your wallet, or the squeeze of not enough time in your time-off bank. There are plenty of ways to make it a super fun summer without angering your piggy bank or annoying your boss with another vacation request.
How about planning a backyard camp-out complete with hot dogs and s’mores, bird-watching, roller-skating, planting a garden, building a living room fort, or filming your own movie on a smart phone hardly cost a thing. Local museums and libraries almost always have a summer-time schedule of fun activities. The best part is just finding things to do together. Have an amazing summer! And when this year’s first winter snow rolls in, I hope you have plenty of warm memories to reminisce about.
