In a few short weeks, my six year old Lily is going to “graduate” from Kindergarten. In a few short days my 27-year-old, Emily, is going to graduate from college. And in a few short months, I will be retuning to school to complete my degree. Whew! That’s a lot of milestones in my family. You may be celebrating a few milestones in your own life: a wedding that’s right around the corner, a new baby on the way, a move, or a career change. Although these milestones give us plenty to celebrate, they can also have us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or fearful about the future. But we can be sure that God is with us no matter what lies ahead. He gives us reassurance of that with a very powerful promise in His word.
“And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8.
